Systems Administrator

Job Description

The Systems Administrator is responsible for building and supporting new and existing Physical and Virtual systems for both our clients and Cloud Hosting Infrastructure. The candidate should have sufficient knowledge of virtual platforms, database connectivity, and Windows-based applications, in addition to experience working with mission-critical Production systems. Plexeon is looking for a service oriented, self-driven and motivated System Administrator who will provide system design and support for Cloud and Client Infrastructures.

Education

• BS/MS EE, CS or relevant major

Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years system and network administration in a virtual environment
  • Must have an ability to work on multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision (independently
    and on team projects), prioritize accordingly, and follow through to completion. Effective analytical
    abilities to address performance and reliability issues
  • Assumes responsibility to ensure issues/concerns will be addressed and monitors them through
    conclusion
  • Experience with VMWare/VCenter, deployments and automation / configuration management,
    clustering, MS OS and SQL, monitoring tools (Nagios, Ganglia), VEEAM, SAN; Experience in creating
    software/scripts to automate production systems (bash, perl, ruby, python)
  • Seeks to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and solve problems.
  • Candidate must exhibit a strong work ethic and commitment to provision outstanding quality service.
Position Responsibilities
  • Monitors the daily health of the overall Infrastructure, data storage / SAN environment; provide
    capacity and performance analysis
  • Hardware implementations and upgrade server software, apply patches and critical updates
  • Advanced understanding of Active Directory, role-based security, and group policy management.
    Ability to fully understand, configure, and troubleshoot database connectivity
  • Experience evaluating, configuring and maintaining Cisco, HP and Barracuda equipment
  • Provide support, 24x7, for system/network related issues
  • Provide support for installation and configuration of new applications
  • Perform all maintenance and troubleshooting of software issues on various applications, while
    interfacing with appropriate vendors, as needed.
  • Create and maintain specifications, system designs, procedures, and logs.
  • Maintains deployment and maintenance standards for existing/new systems
  • Research and implement new technologies

IT Support Specialist

Job Description

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance related to computer systems, hardware and software. You’re a self-starter and problem-solver and will respond to client queries directly via RMM/ticketing system, phone and onsite. The candidate should have sufficient knowledge of VMWare and windows-based platforms and applications, in addition to experience working with mission-critical client Production systems and networks. Plexeon is looking for a service oriented, self-driven and motivated IT Support Specialist who will provide support for its customers.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study
  • Certifications: Microsoft MCT, MCSA, MCSE, Cisco CCNA, CCNP. Candidates with active and up-to-date certifications are preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an IT organization – preferably Healthcare IT.
  • Minimum 3 years’ Systems and Network troubleshooting experience and must enjoy troubleshooting technology
  • Willing to work weekends, evenings and on special projects with various associated hours
  • A Passion for service focused on the client
  • Must have excellent verbal and communication skills for interaction with Executives, Physicians and Surgeons, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage your time
  • Must have an ability to work on multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision

Position Responsibilities
  • Interact with clients via phone, email, ticketing or at client site to diagnose and solve hardware, software and network faults for clients
  • Follow up with clients to ensure issues have been resolved
  • Queries to determine nature of problem and plan for resolution
  • Maintain daily performance of client Infrastructure / computer systems
  • Hardware and Software implementations and upgrade server software, apply patches and critical updates
  • Understanding of and manage Microsoft Domains, Active Directory, role-based security, and group policy management.
  • Workstation and Mobile device build-out and imaging for Windows 7 and Windows 10
  • Familiar with VMWare Server installations and configurations; Windows 2012 and 2016 Server
  • Experience troubleshooting Desktops, Servers, printers, scanners and other Infrastructure elements
  • Provide support for installation and configuration of new applications
  • Perform all maintenance and troubleshooting of software issues on various Applications, while interfacing with appropriate vendors, as needed
  • Familiar with Autotask for RMM: Systems and Network monitoring and troubleshooting
